We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspiring teacher of Science to join our supportive and forward looking department. Your commitment, hard work and passion for Science would be highly valued in a team which is committed to enabling all our students to achieve success in all key stages.

The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4 and, depending on experience, there may be opportunities in KS5. By having good interpersonal skills and working together with members of the Science team, you will be expected to contribute to the departmental focus of teaching and learning and to further raise attainment in Science.

This position would equally suit an experienced teacher, or an NQT who is looking for an excellent start to their career.

This is a permanent post, a temporary contract may be available for a suitable candidate.

Wath Comprehensive School is a co-educational secondary school located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It educates more than 1,800 students aged 11-18, 400 of whom attend the sixth form. The school was first established in 1923 and became comprehensive in 1972.

Over the years, Wath Comprehensive School has seen considerable modernisation and expansion, with the most recent building works completed in 2005. It is considerably larger than the average secondary school. The secondary school boasts a number of modern facilities, including a public leisure centre.

Wath Comprehensive School aims to foster a strong sense of community and acceptance among its pupils. Owing to the large number of students it has on roll and the size of its catchment area, the secondary school has a diverse student intake. 

Teachers work hard to ensure that pupils feel safe and self-confident in school. Wath Comprehensive maintains high expectations of its pupils in terms of work and behaviour, and encourages them to develop their emotional and social intelligence alongside their academic ability.
