We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic NQT to join our Senior School in September 2021.

You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum for Science and show a real passion for your subject.  We would expect our new Science teacher to have excellent academic and professional qualifications and be able to maintain high standards of teaching and learning. As a teacher at Long Close School, you will have plenty of CPD opportunities for professional development and growth and you will be fully supported by an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Department.

You will:

• Be able to teach Science at KS3 - KS4:

• Be highly motivated and an excellent classroom practitioner who can ensure good progress for all

• Have a creative, forward thinking attitude and inspire pupils to succeed in Science

• Be unapologetically passionate about your subject:

• Be committed to working collaboratively as part of a team and across the school;

• Be hard-working with excellent organisational skills:

• Be an individual with a 'can do' approach willing to make a significant contribution to the life of the school

Long Close School is a co-educational, independent school for children aged 2-16, situated in Slough, Berkshire.

The school was founded in 1940 and after a series of developments over the decades was bought by Cognita, the largest independent schools business in the UK, in 2004. The senior school opened in September 2006.
