We are looking to appoint inspirational teachers in Science, who can challenge every student to achieve their very best. The positions will suit experienced or newly qualified teachers.

Do you believe that there are no limits to student achievement?  If so, why not consider joining one of the most improved schools in Essex in 2019

For teachers currently undergoing teacher training, a start date of July 2019 will be considered, on completion of training courses.

The start date for this post is September 2020.

We're looking for you if you have:

• Qualified Teacher Status

• Ability to teach lessons that challenge all students

• A passion for teaching and making a real difference to young people

•  Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

If you are a dynamic, newly qualified teacher or a teacher with experience, who would like to work in a supportive and collaborative environment and you feel that you have the enthusiasm and commitment required to join our school, please apply.

(The full details can be found in the attached Job Outlines and Role Specifications).

St Helena School has a research-informed CPD training programme that allows our staff to flourish and in addition a bespoke programme for NQTs.  Our St Helena School Research Internships give colleagues the opportunity to research a school priority and to work with students and staff to further improve outcomes.  Our staff access the full suite of NPQ leadership courses and qualifications at the appropriate stage in their careers.  Weekly Teaching and Learning briefings and our half-termly Teaching and Learning Community breakfasts make sure that we’re always talking about what matters most!

In addition to internal CPD at St Helena, staff have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the Sigma Trust to share resources, ideas and build collaborative relationships.  Excellent support is provided by the Sigma Trust through Strategic Leads in each Faculty.

Opportunities are available to teach at Key Stage 5 at a partner school.  Our annual Sigma INSET day is an opportunity to hear from national speakers and share great practice across our family of schools.
