We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Teacher of Science for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2023 start.

The Post: Teacher of Science – (Maternity Cover – One Year Contract) 

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Science. 

The successful candidate will be working in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful. Despite the non-selective nature of the school in 2022 100% of GCSE Level Biologists gained 9-4 out of which over 77% gained 9-8.  In GCSE Chemistry 100% of students gained 9-4, out of which over 82% gained 9-8. In GCSE Physics 100% gained 9-4, out of which over 90% gained 9-8. 85% of A Level Biologists gained A*/B out of which 54% gained A*/A this gave the department a 1 in ALPS.  In A Level Chemistry 85% of students gained A*/B, out of which 52% gained A*/A. In A Level Physics 84% gained A*/B, out of which 61% gained A*/A. The department has 11 purpose-built laboratory spaces, and phase 1 of a two-part upgrade to the facilities has just been completed.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

·      A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.

·      At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England. 

·      We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching. 

·      A mindset which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.

·      Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
