Job overview

Teacher of Science

(Temporary one-year post)

To commence September 2018

With an emphasis on practical work and demonstrations, we aim for the Sciences to be stimulating, accessible, hands-on and enjoyable at Wycliffe. Students thrive through challenging lessons and diverse extracurricular opportunities. We encourage a collaborative approach to planning and teaching, with teachers sharing ideas on a daily basis and making the most of each other’s strengths.

We are seeking a full time teacher of Science for September 2018 to join the established team, with the ability to teach two or more separate sciences to GSCE level. An ability to teach one science to A level would be an advantage but is not essential. This post is for one year initially and reflects increased interest in the College and the department.

Wycliffe is justifiably proud of its outstanding co-curricular and pastoral provision and the successful candidate will be expected to discuss these areas at interview and explain how they will play a full part in them. If you share our vision and want to work in an outstanding environment with a supportive common room, and relish the challenge of teaching the full range of ability levels, why not join us in our beautiful Gloucestershire home?

Completed applications to be received by noon on Monday 21st May 2018.

Interviews scheduled for 24th May 2018.
