Wallingford School is an oversubscribed, successful 11-18 school with enthusiastic students, supportive staff and excellent facilities. We are among the most successful schools in the country for progress in English and Maths. In 2018 students achieved 75% 4+ in English and Maths at GCSE, with a Progress 8 score of +0.16. Our A Level students are consistently in the top 25% nationally for Value Added progress.

Science is a successful and popular subject throughout the school and standards of achievement are high. It is taught by an enthusiastic and highly committed team of teachers, ably supported by a team of technicians. The Science Department is vibrant and full of personality with an emphasis on team work and mutual support, which enables members to develop their practice and adapt to the challenges of a developing curriculum. In 2018 students at GCSE achieved 67% 4+ in Double Award Science and 47% 7+ overall in Triple Science. A-level performance continues to be very strong, with Biology, Chemistry and Physics gaining an average of ALPS 3 over the last 3 years, placing all three departments in the top 25% of the country for progress.
