This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant and ambitious school.  Based in West Sussex on the South Coast, The Littlehampton Academy is a large and rapidly improving academy. There is a relentless drive to improve student performance in all areas.

You will be joining the academy at an incredibly exciting time and will have opportunities to contribute significantly. The successful candidate will be motivated, creative and resilient, possessing the skills to deliver excellent quality teaching and learning and the drive to ensure successful outcomes are reached.

The Littlehampton Academy is an exciting, vibrant community where every individual is valued and expected to excel. Our mission is to inspire young people to develop a love for learning that will allow them to grow and flourish as they move through the school. Our students join us as children, but we aim to ensure that they leave our doors as accomplished young men and women, confident in their own abilities and ready to realise their aspirations in the world.
Our guiding principle is to put students at the heart of everything we do; we achieve this by promoting our shared values of Respect, Explore, Aspire, Persevere. To find out more about our academy and its excellent facilities, please visit our website or come and see us in action. You will be made most welcome.

Thank you for your interest in The Littlehampton Academy (TLA), where we aim to support our young people robustly to ensure that they make the requisite levels of progress and grow to be active citizens. A recent Ofsted visit highlighted the need to improve outcomes for our students; TLA, with new leadership in place, is determined to do that.  The Academy has a vibrant post-16 College, excellent facilities and thriving community links.

We moved into our state-of-the-art new building in September 2012.  The additional investment that flows from becoming an Academy will provide you with outstanding opportunities for teaching and we are determined to provide excellent working conditions for all staff.  We will mentor you and provide a structured and comprehensive professional development programme, which will support your career aspirations.  Every member of staff is offered their own laptop.

Friendly students, hard-working staff and supportive members of the local community will extend a warm welcome to you.  If you are willing to give 100% and are determined to make a difference then we invite you to apply to join our team and help inspire generations to succeed.

The Science Faculty is a large team of enthusiastic and supportive teachers based in a suite of 14 newly refurbished and well-resourced laboratories.
Our current focus is the continued development of an innovative and engaging KS3 curriculum based on skills and independent enquiry, whilst at KS4, students follow a range of flexible and personalised learning pathways leading to a variety of accredited courses including AQA GCSE Core and Additional Science and Further Additional Science.  At KS4 we also offer Triple Science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Post-16 courses include Physics, Chemistry and Biology to A2 Level.

We are looking for a committed, dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Science with an ability to teach across a range of ages and abilities, including examination groups.

You will be expected to use the Academy VLE to share resources and support learning.
