We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled teachers who are committed to improvement and excellence. You will be joining departments and other teams of staff who are dedicated to providing the best for all young people. You will be able to teach all aspects of the relevant subjects across all stages.

Kirkwall Grammar School enjoys good relations with local businesses and industry with many senior pupils taking advantage of the opportunity to participate in work experience programmes. A wide range of extra-curricular activities including drama, music and sport are available to pupils. We currently have exchange links with schools in other countries such as Norway and Italy and e-twinning links with other schools in Europe and beyond. Salary will be based on the SNCT Salary Tables plus a Distant Islands Allowance.

We offer a generous relocation package of up to £8,000 for permanent posts and up to £2,000 for a temporary one year appointment.
