The Telford Priory School (TPS) is looking to appoint an inspirational and experienced teacher to take on the exciting role of Teacher of Science with position of responsibility to start at January 2018.  At TPS, we uphold the values of the Community Academies Trust (our sponsor) focusing on ensuring excellence in our everyday practice. The successful candidate will:

  • Be an exceptional classroom practitioner
  • Have a track record of achieving excellent outcomes for young people
  • Have experience of leading others with successful outcomes
  • Have experience of leading and raising standards within a school setting
  • Have experience of teaching both KS3 and KS4

Our School opened in September 2015 in an impressive new building with top of the range unique facilities including: a state of the art theatre with flexible performing arts features, 3G pitch, access to an on-site swimming pool, gym and full athletic track and facilities. It is a place which is already at the physical centre of its community and is one which continues to work alongside local agencies to improve opportunities for all. The Telford Priory School is a co-educational secondary academy based in Telford, Shropshire, for students aged 11-16.

The school opened in September 2015 with the capacity for approximately 1,200 students. Facilities include: a Learning Resource Centre to encourage a love of reading and independent research skills; a dedicated ICT suite; well-equipped Art and Technology rooms; and a 300-seat theatre with multiple performance opportunities. Sports facilities include a 3G pitch, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a full athletics track and field.

The school is sponsored by the Learning Community Trust.

The Telford Priory School’s approach is based on a fundamental belief that all young people have talent and the potential to achieve more than they ever thought possible.
