About the role

Our mission is simple, we develop individual excellence, embrace opportunities and build communities with the Gospel values at the heart. St Mary’s Catholic College is at an exciting time in its history. We will be opening a resourced provision centre in September 2022. The provision will be focused on supporting secondary aged students with autism. Working with HFCMAT we wish to appoint a passionate, dedicated and determined SEND teacher who will help build an inclusive centre of excellence.

The role will involve working with and delivering a range of subjects and you will be supported by a team of TAs and College leaders.

We need someone who:

Has a passion for helping pupils with great challenges, but recognises that when students are presented with suitable support, they can thrive.

Has a 'can do' attitude and being keen to create hands on learning experiences · Is willing to think in creative ways that help engage learners

Has a passion to bring learning to life for students with Education Health Care Plans

You will need to be resilient and ready for the unique challenges this role will present. However, you can be assured that your work will transform lives.

As this is a new role we would very much welcome applications or enquiries from candidates with a range of experience, including primary and SEND specialist settings.  Successful applicants will very much be part of building this great provision.

Through HFCMAT we can offer a range of CPD opportunities to enhance the knowledge and skills of all staff within the resourced provision.

We are looking for someone who shares our mission and will ensure our vision of Work Together; Succeed Together is lived out everyday.  Your attitude is the key driver, rather than your background and formal qualifications. If you do not have experience of working in specialist settings, please note that this is not a disadvantage.

We are committed to safeguarding the young people in our care, and we expect all our staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to relevant clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact the school office on 0151 639 7531 or schooloffice@stmaryswallasey.com to arrange an appointment.

Please download an application form and job description from the vacancies area of our website http://www.stmaryswallasey.com Completed Application Form and covering letter to be returned to the Headteacher, Mr K Maddocks via recruitment@hfcmat.com.
