It is an exceptionally exciting time for the school as we recently opened our brand-new pioneering, 90,000m² state-of-the-art campus and marked our 40th year anniversary.

The opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Sociology and Psychology Teacher with the ability to teach from GCSE to A Level to start in September 2021.

We have seen tremendous academic success with A Level Sociology and Psychology, and we are looking for the right teacher to continue the same level of success as we introduce GCSE Sociology. The ability to teach either Geography or History to Key Stage 3 students will be an advantage.

All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays, and all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry.

About you

As a teacher at Doha College, you will be responsible for instilling a passion for your subjects in students, monitoring and evaluating student achievement and making a solid contribution to accomplishing the college’s vision and mission. The ideal candidate will be someone who can think on their feet, be able to implement strategies and academically stretch and challenge their students.

The successful candidate will be expected to keep up to date with developments in the subjects and be able to contribute to further department progress, helping to ensure the departments remain at the forefront of excellence.

Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including co-curricular activities.

We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English, therefore a high standard of written and spoken English is essential, along with a detailed knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
