Job overview

Holy Cross Sixth Form College and University Centre is an academically outstanding and pastorally driven Catholic College for the Community, welcoming students and staff of all faiths. If you are an exceptional and inspiring innovator in teaching, learning and assessment, with a track record of great results, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full time post with the person appointed covering a period of maternity leave. Sociology is a very progressive and innovative department which is continually developing new teaching, learning and assessment strategies including the use of ILT resources. There are five members of staff who have responsibilities for teaching the subject and all have a teaching qualification and a degree in Sociology. There is a good deal of collaboration, which allows exchange of ideas, resources and a team approach to the delivery of the subject by a team of highly committed and enthusiastic teachers.

Come and see why staff love working here, with the wonderful students we attract. If you relish innovation and excellence in moving learning forward, allied to security, stability and a sense of community, this could be your moment.
