We are looking for an outstanding teacher with high expectations of students to teach A-level Sociology at City and Islington Sixth Form College. Sociology is a popular choice for students at the Sixth Form with 11 classes in year 12. If you are enthusiastic, innovative, care about students and want to work in a supportive and friendly environment this may be the job for you. City and Islington Sixth Form College is a well-established and over-subscribed specialist A-level centre. We are situated on one site at the Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the capital to learn with us. All teachers are tutors to a pastoral group of up to 22 A-level students and we have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students' confidence and skills.

Located in the London Borough of Islington, City and Islington College (otherwise known as Candi) is a further education college with students aged 14 and over. The college was first established in 1993, following a merger of four institutions in the local area. As a result, the college has over 12,000 students of all types in attendance. In reflection of the local community, and student body at Candi is extremely diverse, with a large number of different cultures and faiths represented.

Candi also provides extensive support and guidance for students looking into their study and employment options, as well an encouraging a vibrant social scene among them.
