Job overview

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of MFL to join a small team in the school. MFL are very popular with 60% of students choosing to study a language at KS4 in 2016. The successful candidate will be able to teach Spanish to KS4 and French to KS3. We are looking for someone who is passionate about language and who is ambitious for the success of our students. The post would suit an experienced or a newly qualified teacher.

NQTs are fully supported by an Induction Programme. The school takes a collaborative view of learning where good practice is shared through a structured INSET programme within the school and across the Success for All Educational Trust.

The 'Success for All Educational Trust' is a newly formed Multi Academy Trust that consists of Redden Court School and The Royal Liberty School.

Royal Liberty is a small comprehensive 11-16 school for boys. We occupy a Grade II listed building in a pleasant site. The school has been judged as good in its last 2 OFSTED inspections and we are constantly striving to improve further.

The school is in an excellent location, a short walk from the main line Gidea Park station to London Liverpool Street

We have received confirmation that we will receive funding through the Priority Schools Building Programme and are looking forward to using this to enhance the education we provide for our students.

The Success for All Educational Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If successful for this position you will be expected to undertake a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service before appointment is confirmed. References will be sought on shortlisted candidates before interview.

The Royal Liberty School is a popular, over-subscribed 11-16 school for boys.  We are located a short walk from Gidea Park Station on a beautiful grade II listed site.

In 2017 we joined the Success for All Educational Multi Academy Trust.  We are making extensive use of our partnership with Redden Court School to continually raise standards of teaching and learning and student outcomes.

From September 2018 we are expanding by 1 form of entry (to 5 forms) to meet the increasing demand for places.  We have received funding for an extensive refurbishment of our buildings.

We are a small school and have a strong sense of community.  Boys are proud to be a part of the school and this reflected on their excellent behaviour and eagerness to take on roles of responsibility and to represent us in the local community.

Staff and students have excellent relationships based on mutual respect.  All members of the school community are ambitious to succeed.  Students feel supported to achieve the very best they can and encouraged to develop the skills and qualities they need to be successful every stage of their life.
