TEACHER OF SPANISH & FRENCH
Start date: September 2018
Swanlea School is a large, vibrant and thriving secondary school in the centre of London. With approximately 1000 students on roll and a further 210 at KS5, staff at Swanlea work alongside outstanding colleagues to achieve outstanding student outcomes. In the summer of 2017, we achieved our best results at GCSE (Progress 8 score of +0.44) and at KS5 (+0.39).
In July 2013, OFSTED graded Swanlea as outstanding in all categories for the second time. In July 2015, we were awarded Teaching School status as part of our journey to achieving excellence and we continue to strive to deliver outstanding outcomes across all key stages. We are committed to the continuous professional learning of all staff and the successful candidate will receive first class training and development as both a teacher and a middle leader.
The MFL Faculty is a high performing curriculum area and building upon the success of previous years, we are now aiming to achieve a GCSE P8 score of +1. We are now seeking a Teacher of Spanish & French to join us on our journey to achieving excellence.
As expected, we are looking for the best. A good honours degree and qualified teacher status are essential. Naturally, the successful candidate will be an outstanding languages teacher of GCSE. You will be able to demonstrate unwavering commitment to raising student progress and standards. Like us, you believe that social disadvantage is no barrier to achievement and that every student can share in the joy of education. Most importantly, you will possess integrity, good humour and moral purpose.
This post would suit someone keen, ambitious and with a passion for languages. You will have the potential to become a Head of Faculty within 2-3 years. It is an ideal stepping stone to middle leadership as you will work alongside an experienced and supportive head of faculty.
We would welcome applications from both NQTs and more experienced members of staff.
To apply, please send your completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date: 9.00am on 20th April 2018
