Values and vision

Rookwood School has a Christian ethos, which is reflected upon in its regular assemblies. Children of all faiths are actively welcomed. Students are taught that they should give respect to adults and expect to receive respect in return.

The school’s motto, "Sapere Aude", can be translated as "dare to know" or "have courage to understand". Teachers challenge pupils to have the courage to learn new things and to develop new skills.

“The school is successful in achieving its aims of setting high expectations and encouraging pupils to achieve their best both in and out of class… Throughout the school, pupils show good understanding and enjoy their learning, demonstrating excellent literacy and numeracy skills in the prep school.
