A vacancy has arisen for a talented and inspiring Spanish specialist to join our highly supportive team, teaching Key Stages 3 and 4. The role will also involve teaching a small amount of French at KS3. This is a maternity leave cover post expected to last until December 2019.

To be successful, you will have:

  • a proven track record of effective training or teaching practice underpinned by a passion for the subject;
  • a broad base of subject knowledge and the ability to apply a range of teaching and learning strategies;
  • excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data and assessment for learning effectively to inform practice;
  • the ability to work effectively with all students, engaging them through exciting yet challenging lessons and embedding a culture of positive behaviour for learning.

Most importantly, you will be committed to our school ethos of ‘all different, all equal,’ instilling high expectations in all our students to enable them to achieve their potential, regardless of the barriers they face.

In return, we offer fantastic opportunities to committed and enthusiastic teachers and tremendous developmental possibilities due to our success, size, facilities and a forward-thinking management and staff, working together to offer the best available chances for our students.

Closing date: Noon on 14th January 2019.

Kenton Schools Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in all our schools and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.

Vision and values

Outstanding teaching and learning for all students, so that knowledge is embedded and disadvantage is not a barrier to learning. All students reach their potential, so that they are well placed for life beyond school. Ensuring confident, happy and resilient students, who treat others with compassion and respect.

Ofsted report

“The school’s work to promote the spiritual, moral, social and cultural education of pupils and to prepare them for life in modern Britain is also a real strength. Pupils discuss current affairs regularly through the systematic personal, social and health education (PSHE) curriculum.”
