Salary: Main/Upper Inner-London Scale (+TLR for suitably experienced candidate)
Contract term: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful Trust to teach Spanish in Key Stages 3 and 4 and French, at least to KS3, at Langdon Academy.

Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1700 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust. We work in close partnership with Brampton Manor Academy (an outstanding 11-18 Academy), which is the other school within our multi-academy trust (MAT). There is great spirit, energy and optimism in the school since joining the MAT in 2014 which has led to substantial improvements and successes in every aspect of school life, placing the school “well above average”, with Progress 8 now in the top 8% of schools in England. However, this is by no means sufficient, given the potential of our young people.

Our assessments indicate that our whole-school 2018 data will show a significant improvement on all previous performance levels and that the MFL department will, once again, make a major contribution to that success. MFL colleagues have delivered outstanding outcomes for students in recent years but are constantly striving for even greater success. In short, these are exciting times for the department and the school as a whole.

This appointment is a golden opportunity to strengthen our team further with a new, talented and enthusiastic linguist who can lead our students to the to the very top of GCSE Spanish. If that sounds like you, and if you’re also an outstanding teacher of French at least to Year 9, we’d be keen to hear from you. You will be joining a very strong team of subject specialists, with highly energetic and inspirational leaders to support you through the next stages of your professional development.

The scale of Langdon and its membership of Brampton Manor Trust, provides considerable opportunity for further development. This post would suit a NQT or a more experienced colleague looking to broaden their experience. A TLR point may be available to take on additional responsibility within the department / school.

Please visit our websites at www.bramptonmanor.org or www.langdon.newham.sch.uk to apply and obtain further details about this role. All completed application forms must be sent by email to jobs@bramptonmanor.org.

Brampton Manor Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children.  Enhanced DBS checks will always be carried out on new employees.

Please note: Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, as applications are received
