Organisation: Kingstone Academy Trust

Location: Kingstone High School

Closing Date: 7th June 2022

Interview Date: tbc

Required for September 2022

Full Time: MPS / UPS

Kingstone High School is looking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and experienced language specialist with the ability to teach Spanish and French. Our MFL team also teaches across the KS2 section of our primary, which is located on the same site as the secondary, so a flexibility of approach is needed. Spanish is taught through KS2 in the primary along with specialist French teaching to establish strong language foundations at an early age.

Kingstone Academy Trust has a strong reputation in language teaching and learning and has an outward facing philosophy in terms of language. We need a colleague with enthusiasm and passion to fulfil this goal. The successful candidate will join a department that is passionate about the learning of languages.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and talented teacher who is eager for a positive and rewarding MFL teaching post. We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced colleagues who will be willing to contribute to the continuing development of the faculty. You will be joining a supportive staff team committed to promoting enjoyment and high achievement for all of our students. Therefore, if you are an enthusiastic classroom practitioner with high expectations and an ability to inspire, enthuse and challenge students to raise standards of achievement at all levels we would like to hear from you.

In return, we offer:

• A school with a strong commitment to your professional development

• A working environment focused on Teaching and Learning and raising standards for all

• The opportunity to work in a staff team where your skills, enthusiasm and hard work will be appreciated

• A school where staff wellbeing is a priority

For an informal discussion about the role, expressions of interest or a visit to the school, please call or e-mail Mrs Sally Spreckley sspreckley@kingstoneacademy.co.uk

Kingstone Academy Trust reserves the right to withdraw this advert prior to the closing date should a successful candidate/s be identified.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All vacancies that involve working with vulnerable adults and/or children will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level, along with other standard pre-employment checks.

Visions and value

The school aims to help every student reach their full potential by providing a range of opportunities and a safe and supportive environment to learn in. The school strives to offer a stimulating curriculum with a wide array of subjects, which includes an engaging range of extra-curricular activities.

The school aims to provide a personalised curriculum. While it emphasises the importance of the core subjects of English, maths and science, it also offers modern foreign languages, design technology, history, geography, P.E., art and music. The curriculum also prioritises opportunities to participate in local, national and international trips as well as extra-curricular activities which include textiles, football, basketball and choir.

Ofsted

“Teachers plan work carefully so that it builds on what students can already do. Activities are usually challenging for students of differing abilities, even where the spread of abilities in the class is wide. As a result, students make at least good progress in the very large majority of lessons.”
