We seek a suitably qualified, dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish with French) to join our team from January 2019.  

Wardle Academy is part of the Wardle Trust and is located in a semi-rural setting serving the Pennine communities of Wardle, Dearnley, Littleborough and Smithy Bridge, although a number of students also travel from Todmorden and Rochdale. The school is situated close to the M62, with quick and easy access to both Leeds and Manchester. We aim to provide an excellent all-round education within a safe environment of modern facilities and resources. Our dedicated team of high quality teaching and associate staff raise the attainment and aspirations of our young people above and beyond national attainment.

We are looking for someone who is:

A consistently good/outstanding practitioner, you will maximise the potential of our students by raising their aspirations as well as their attainment across this subject area.

The successful candidate will have the ability to plan effective lessons, using student data to inform planning and progression. You will also have high expectations of students, based on a sound knowledge of their prior and potential attainment.

Whilst ensuring effective whole class, group or individual learning opportunities are available to students which engage and challenge all ability levels, you will set high standards of expectations of students’ behaviour through good classroom discipline.

Wardle Academy was inspected by Ofsted in December 2017 and judged to be good in all aspects. We are determined to carry on improving until we are the very best we can be.
