Teacher of Special Educational Needs

We wish to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and experienced teacher of Special Educational Needs to join our ground breaking new special school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia joining our dedicated staff team working with students from UK KS1-KS2 equivalent, Grades 1-4 K12 equivalent in the first instance. The school will grow to full K12 size over time. High calibre teachers who may not have direct Special Educational Needs teaching experience will be considered with a strong successful teaching track record and dedication, caring and commitment to working with vulnerable young people in a new setting is essential.

The Principal will provide vision, leadership and direction and will foster excellence and high expectations throughout the school and full support to the successful candidate.

This is a permanent, full time post to start in January 2017 with an initial contract available to August 2017 or a two year contract in the first instance.

SchoolsCompany is a private education management and consultancy company and we have partnered with a leading Saudi education organisation, Al Khaleej Training and Education, to establish the first formal special school in Riyadh. This is an exciting time to join our evolving and growing international operations. The school will cater for young people who have experienced difficulty in mainstream education or have not attended formal education at all. Children with medical needs or other special educational and additional needs such as autism, Asperger's Syndrome and social emotional and mental health needs will be welcome. Our staff team are committed practitioners who strive to give our students a personalised and relevant education that will enable them to re engage with learning and lead to reintegration into school, further education and employment.

Competitive tax free salary c£40-45k + package with benefits, free accommodation, health care, driver, VISA requirements arranged and return flights per year to be offered. Training and induction in London before Christmas prior to commencement of post in January 2017.

We apologise but due to Saudi Law we are only able to accept female teachers at this stage. Female teachers who are married will not be able to sponsor their family to join.
