Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our school on a self-employed basis, providing high quality speech and drama tuition to pupils on an individual basis or in groups.

You will be involved in supporting the Head of Performing Arts to help provide and organise effective speech and drama teaching by department, working across the Pre-Prep School, Prep School & Senior School.

You will also deliver two after school drama clubs to years 3-6 per week.

To be successful in this role you will have relevant qualifications coupled with a genuine passion for teaching. In addition, you will be a team player with a positive “can do” attitude, flexible approach, and excellent interpersonal skills.

The post is on a fixed-term basis (maternity cover), and the individual will be self-employed. The role is approximately 3.5 days a week, providing 1:1 & paired lessons, group lessons and after school club provision. For more information regarding working hours please refer to the job description.

Taunton School received exceptional feedback in most recent inspection report

Taunton School is celebrating after it has received exceptional feedback following an inspection by the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate in 2024.
