It is an exciting time to be joining King Edward’s School, Witley, particularly in respect of overseeing cricket. We have recently invested heavily in a new bank of 6 cricket nets and have begun a full-year programme of cricket with the aim of improving the standards of performance at all levels.

In addition, the School offers over twenty sports, including football, hockey, basketball, netball, swimming, cricket and rounders. Core PE is taught from Year 7 (first form) to Year 11 (fifth form) with pupils enjoying four hours of curriculum PE per week through the Games and Core PE programme, reinforced by additional coaching and training sessions delivered through co-curricular Activities. Academic PE includes the CIE iGCSE in PE and, at Sixth Form, the IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science Diploma course at both Higher and Standard Level.

As part of the KESW community, we expect our teachers to contribute to our collaborative and collegiate Common Room, to share in developing the policies, strategies and systems that underpin our daily practice, as well as supporting their Head of Department to ensure that our pupils achieve excellent results. We celebrate success and model a culture of aspiration, intellectual curiosity and appreciation for the different skills and knowledge that all contribute to the education of rounded, happy pupils who will leave KESW equipped to seize opportunities, relish challenge and build for themselves happy and fulfilling lives.

As well as a diverse and interesting body of pupils to motivate and inspire, we can offer job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment, a competitive salary, Teacher’s pension scheme, the potential for on-site accommodation at significantly reduced rental, staff fee remission on School fees both at King Edward’s and our partner school Barrow Hills, free car parking, free use of our gym, swimming pool and sports facilities, all meals and snacks on duty and a Cycle to Work Scheme.
