This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Located in the town of Banff, Aberdeenshire, Banff Academy is a co-educational six-year secondary school. Serving a number of small towns in the surrounding area, the school has around 900 pupils making it average-sized compared to other secondary schools of its type. The school moved onto its current site in 1970, but has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, including a number of recent renovations to the school building, with more work planned on the school’s common areas. As a result of this, the school boasts of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities.
