The Northworthy Trust are inviting applications for the post of Teacher of Technology based at The Long Eaton School.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team of Technology teachers, who are committed to improving attainment levels across the faculty through their passion for teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach a mixture of Design Technology, Resistant Materials and Construction and Engineering to a range of mixed ability groups across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.  Most students at Key Stage 4 are working towards the new suite of Level 2 vocational awards, over the Key Stage 4 course.  Students have 5, one hour lessons of Technology per fortnight in Key Stage 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and will be able to work well within a team, yet be able to demonstrate an ability to utilise their own initiative.  They will be motivated and resilient and be able to demonstrate the skills required to engage students in their learning.
