The Guernsey Federation of Secondary Schools is looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and well-qualified, specialist graduate teachers with the vision and energy to deliver high standards of teaching and learning in the area of Technology, and to make a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of the School and to the Guernsey Federation of Secondary Schools.
Secondary Education in Guernsey is currently undergoing a period of transformation moving to a One School Model but it currently operates as part of the Guernsey Federation of Secondary Schools which includes St Sampson’s, Les Beaucamps La Mare De Carteret and Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form alongside St Anne’s School in Alderney.
The drivers in Secondary phase education for this significant transformation are: equality of educational experience and outcomes, equality of opportunity and access, and efficient and effective use of resources.
Employed by the States of Guernsey, you will be required to maximise opportunities for collaborative working, teaching and learning across Key Stages and shared professional development across schools. There is an expectation that you will engage in cross-school collaboration which may require working on more than one site to meet the needs of the Education Service.
The successful candidate will be able to excite and challenge learners to make rapid progress and will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning. They will be passionate about raising learners’ individual achievements and will have the opportunity to deliver an innovative broad and balanced Guernsey curriculum that aims to meet all learner needs through focus on the development of the whole child.

The Bailiwick of Guernsey is made up of four islands: Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney.
Education in Guernsey comprises of 11 primary schools, four secondary schools, and three special schools which offer education to the Island’s young people who require additional support.
There is a primary and secondary school in Alderney (St Anne’s) and a primary school in Herm, which currently has 10 pupils. There is also a primary and secondary school in Sark, but the States of Guernsey does not have responsibility for this. In addition there are three private schools in Guernsey - Elizabeth College, Ladies College and Blanchelande College - which offer both primary and secondary education.
