TEMPORARY TLR 2.1 (September 2019 to July 2021)

The Governors wish to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to join our outstanding Creative Arts and Technology faculty.  The successful applicant will be joining one of our school's newest teams, with the opportunity to work and develop professionally alongside teachers of Computing, Art and the suite of Technology subjects.  This post is suitable for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and passionate teacher of Technology with the willingness and flexibility to teach elsewhere across the faculty.

The successful applicant will also be provided with a fantastic opportunity to lead on a county-wide scheme to promote women into engineering, which is funded by a two-year Enthuse bursary.  This is a crucial aspect of the new post and we are looking for someone to make a real impact.  If a success is made in this role, then opportunities for further career progression into leadership will be strongly considered upon the expiry of the temporary TLR.

The CAT faculty has recently undergone an extensive programme of capital investment and refurbishment, which means that the successful candidate will have enviable, up-to-date resources at their disposal.  Technology is a popular option choice at GCSE and we are looking for someone to take this subject to the next level.

Since 2016 Penwortham Girls' High School has been a Teaching School, jointly leading the Red Rose Multiple Alliance with Bishop Rawstorne.

Please note that the school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
