We are looking for an inspirational individual to join our forward thinking, innovative and dynamic academy to ensure our Outstanding, World Class provision is not only retained but is also built upon.  An enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Technology is required to join a thriving and highly successful curriculum area which has made a major contribution to the strong examination results achieved throughout the academy.   

Our examination results are extremely impressive; the 2019 GCSE results will place The Morley Academy as being significantly above the national average for Grade 4 and above in English & Mathematics with 83% of students achieving this. Moreover, the remarkable achievement of students achieving Grade 5 and above in English and Mathematics was 60%. The unvalidated whole cohort Progress 8 score in 2019 is +0.72 indicating that students, on average, achieve a grade higher in seven of their ten GCSE subjects than other students nationally. This Progress 8 score places The Morley Academy amongst the very top performing schools in the country and the highest performing school in Leeds.

Judged Outstanding for the first time in 2009 and re-designated as Outstanding in every Ofsted category in May 2013 we have a track record of excellence both in terms of student outcomes and professional development.  In December 2016 The Morley Academy was officially recognised as a World Class School, one of only a handful in the country. We were successfully reaccredited as a World Class School in May 2019.

Working within the nationally renowned GORSE Academies Trust led by Sir John Townsley we were awarded Teaching School Status in March 2012.  In September 2015 our School Centred Initial Teacher Training Centre opened supporting the development of over 120 trainee teachers. This provision has now grown to a point where we train over 200 teachers each year. Furthermore, in December 2016 our School Centred Initial Teacher Training centre was judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted.
