The Pingle Academy lies at the heart of the National Forest area and provides for students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. We benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities which include extensive provision for sports, a well-equipped Performing Arts Centre, a Learning Support Base, two Autism Resource Centres and a purpose built Sixth Form Centre.

Sixth form students invariably gain places at the university/course/apprenticeship of their choice.   

For 2018, we are planning to have iPads for staff and for Year 9 and Year 12 students.  

We provide a broad and stimulating curriculum and set the highest standards of learning and behaviour. By doing so we encourage students to reach for these standards with confidence.  We work to remove barriers to learning and achievement so all students can make rapid progress and achieve desired outcomes.    

In order to apply for this role you must have a specialism in resistant materials and engineering at KS4.  You would be expected to share the Academy’s high aspirations and expectations for all students and staff.

1. raise attainment and improve the progress of all students in Technology  

2. be an excellent practitioner with the ability to support and engage students to be the very best they can be.  

3. ensure that students access the support required to make progress. 

4. contribute to the continuing development of the Technology Faculty, playing a role in delivering our vision to improve teaching and learning.  

5. have the desire to be part of a dynamic team, committed to moving the Academy forward.

The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our over subscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.
