The Academy
Nunthorpe is a very popular outstanding co-educational 11 – 19 comprehensive Academy with approximately 1600 students on roll.
Nunthorpe Academy is the lead Teaching School in the North East Schools Teaching Alliance – NESTA. Through this ‘school led’ system of self-improvement we focus on the key areas of School to School Support; Professional Development; Specialist Leaders of Education and Initial Teacher Training & Succession Planning
The Faculty
We are a large, experienced and established faculty with 7 full time and 3 part time teachers; one full time Faculty Support Assistant and two full time technicians.
The faculty offers Food, Textiles, Design Technology at KS3. Food, Textiles, Child Development, Engineering, Design Technology and BTEC Health and Social Care at KS4. At KS5, the faculty offers Product Design and Health and Social Care.

The Candidate
We require an energetic, inspirational and talented teacher with a genuine intellect and passion for ‘Technology’ education to teach across the whole 11 – 19 age and ability range. KS5 experience is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will have the ability and potential to consistently deliver outstanding lessons; and be ambitious for the achievement of every student in their care.
