Vision For Education are working with a highly rewarding special needs school setting in Bury, who are looking to appoint a Teacher of the Deaf with the experience and desire to work with Deaf and hearing impaired children (ages 4 – 16).

The role

As a Teacher of the Deaf you will be working based in a Specialist Hearing Impaired Provision for two days and three days would be outreach work to schools. You will be working with schools, parents and other professionals and services to ensure Deaf and hearing impaired pupils’ needs are identified and appropriately met.

The Teacher of the Deaf post will suit someone either looking to work in a special needs school environment or someone with special school experience. The school provides educational environments that are child centred, flexible and responsive to the needs of each pupil.

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the Teacher of the Deaf position are:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status QTS or QTLS.

• Be dedicated and supportive, an excellent communicator and passionate about working with students with SEND

• Be willing to travel and work in the Bury area
