This is a fixed term contract and may represent a suitable secondment opportunity for existing Cornwall Council employees. If you wish to be considered for a secondment, please obtain your manager’s permission before applying.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
Cornwall is currently negotiating devolution and as part of the deal we are actively integrating community health and social care services as the basis for improving lives.

There may be the opportunity to gain the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Children and Young People with Visual Impairment for a suitably experienced teacher (minimum of three years teaching experience due to the criteria of the course to be undertaken).
You will be committed to working with children and young people with visual impairment, enabling them to access their learning, to gain independent learning skills and to achieve positive outcomes.
You will be a team player interested in multi-agency holisitic working. The ability to manage your own time commitments and workload is essential.
This position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
