The governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational teacher to join our experienced and highly supportive team of staff as a Welsh Second Language Teacher. The successful applicant will work closely with others in the department to share good practice and will demonstrate an ability to engage with and motivate learners in order to achieve the highest standards.
Our ideal candidate will be:
• Able to teach Welsh throughout Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 with Qualified Teacher Status and be an outstanding teacher
• Experience of leading extra-curricular groups desirable

About Ysgol Emrys Ap Iwan
Ysgol Emrys Ap Iwan is a co-educational foundation comprehensive school based in Conwy County Borough for students aged 11-18.
The school’s origins go back to the establishment of Abergele Grammar School in 1899. In recent years, multi-million-pound building programmes have been carried out, and the facilities available at the school have been enhanced considerably. The school’s facilities include a science block, a sports complex, a swimming pool, a floodlit synthetic pitch, tennis courts, a theatre complex, a learning resource centre, TV production studios, hair and beauty training salons, a modern restaurant, and, 15 recently-developed classrooms in a newly built block.
