Position Information 

Lindfield Learning Village (LLV) is a highly innovative new school which opened in Term 1, 2019. The school is a K-12 school with a projected final enrolment of 2000 students. Current enrolment for 2022 is 750 students. LLV is a flagship school for NSW Public Education, implementing a new educational model which includes stage-not-age progression and student-directed, transdisciplinary learning. Design-centred learning supports individual pathways for every student. All teachers are required to work in a collaborative co-teaching environment and to engage in researching their own practice. The school will be expanding rapidly over the coming years requiring agile, reflective change agents.

What we need from you

Working in a highly collaborative, transdisciplinary team, you will:

  • draw on all aspects of the Australian Professional Teaching Standards to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of your students.

  • prepare & collaborate on personal learning plans and integrate these seamlessly into your practice. 

  • meet the wellbeing needs of students in your care 

  • support exemplary learning opportunities by leveraging technologies and skills from across the community. 

  • become a researcher of your own practice and be mentored by expert practitioners 

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach PD/H/PE

Outstanding and creative classroom practitioner with a passion for collaboratively developing, implementing and evaluating innovative pedagogical practice.

Highly reflective, energetic and agile with the ability to deal with the ambiguity of a rapidly changing learning landscape.

Demonstrated emotional intelligence and high level interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relational challenges in a co-teaching, transdisciplinary context.

Highly resilient, invites and responds to constructive feedback to ensure continued growth and alignment to the LLV vision, values and code of collaboration.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
