Are you an ambitious, enthusiastic teacher ready to take up a new challenge in a widely respected international school?  Do you have knowledge of the English National Curriculum and experience or interest in teaching A Level or IB? We are currently looking for a full-time Physics and science teacher for our Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) campus,  just outside of The Hague, from 1 September 2019.

In Key Stage 3 students rotate through a range of different science modules helping them with their grounding in scientific knowledge and understanding, and encouraging them to become familiar with lab equipment and experimentation. We encourage safe working practices and the development of independence of thought. 

At Key Stage 4 we follow AQA syllabus for GCSE (offering both Physics as a separate subject and Physics as part of GCSE Trilogy). We follow Edexcel for A Level where we run three, Year 12 and two, Year 13 A level classes (likely to increase the three in 2019/20). We also have two, Year 12 IB classes and one Year 13 IB class, (also likely to increase to two next year). 

The Physics department is a large and successful department with four, full time physics teachers and a dedicated technician. It is a part of the larger science faculty which comprises of 18 full or part time staff and 7 technicians.

The department offers several extra-curricular opportunities to students including the Physics Olympiad and a project into Beamline for Schools (led by students).

The BSN is a 1:1 device school with all students and teachers using Surface Pro. We use CANVAS as our VLE.
