Teacher Primary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to work within Noblehill Primary. The post 0.8 FTE is temporary and will continue until 29 June 2018.

Noblehill Primary is a large town school situated in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway, catering for approximately 300 primary pupils and a 40 place Nursery and Learning Centre.

We aim to provide a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all children are supported and challenged to maximise their potential.
The school requires a passionate teacher with high expectations, excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and the potential to lead, motivate and inspire others- the ability to work effectively with the Head Teacher and the staff team to achieve excellence.

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
