Crossmichael Primary School is situated within a small picturesque village located approximately 4 miles from Castle Douglas and 22 miles from Dumfries. There are three teaching bases and the current roll sits at 67 pupils.

The post is temporary, starting 17th August 2018

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated class teacher and should demonstrate a high level of commitment to all aspects of school and partnership life. We are seeking to appoint a creative teacher with vision and a passion for learning. This post represents an excellent opportunity to be innovative in developing our culture of sharing and learning.

Applicants are required to be fully registered in the appropriate sector with the General Teaching Council of Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT.

This post considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/ or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they are resident.
