Position Information 

Jindabyne Central School is a comprehensive K-12 school situated in the Snowy Monaro region, an expanding population area located at the base of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales. The school is located on land traditionally home to the Ngarigo people. Our 730 students Kindergarten to Year 12 come from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and provide a vibrant, inclusive and ever-changing school community.

Jindabyne Central School offers a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy across all year groups. The K to 12 curriculum is responsive and flexible, with a strong academic focus and specialised cultural and sporting programs with streamlined transition points throughout each student's schooling life. The school has stage and whole school programs in music, sport, science, visual arts, dance, languages and technology. Students represent the school in these programs, where applicable, at state, national and international levels. Jindabyne Central School has strong community partnerships that enrich learning experiences and provide meaningful connections to broader perspectives and opportunities. 

  
Specific Selection Criteria 
  1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism
  2. Ability to meet the learning and well-being needs of a broad range of students.
  3. Well developed and effective communication skills with capacity to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and support agencies.
  4. Plan, implement and evaluate individualised teaching and learning plans and programs that reflect the needs and aspirations of the unique context of each student.
  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
