Position Information 

Moree Public School is located in the North West NSW. The school is set in large, attractive and well–maintained grounds. It has a population of 518 students, with 40% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school maintains high standards for student learning and behaviour and prides itself on having quality programs and practices in place. Our students benefit from a broad range of academic, creative and performing arts and sporting programs. The school enjoys close ties with and is very highly regarded and well supported by the local and wider community. Students are drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds. Specific Selection Criteria 
  • Approval to teach and/or willingness to teach special education students with additional learning needs with the ability to cater for the communication, social, sensory, behavioural difficulties and emotional disturbance of a diverse range of students.
  • Evidence of exemplary quality teaching to integrate a high quality differentiated curriculum in literacy and numeracy into effective and successful classroom practice for all students.
  • Demonstrated capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate differentiated Individualised Education Plans that are engaging and culturally inclusive with a focus on student engagement and wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated outstanding classroom management skills and proven capacity to implement positive behaviour strategies to enhance student engagement and participation.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills which promote collaboration with staff and positive partnerships with parents/carers, community, support agencies, staff and students.
  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
