It has a population of 518 students, with 40% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. - Approval to teach and/or willingness to teach special education students with additional learning needs with the ability to cater for the communication, social, sensory, behavioural difficulties and emotional disturbance of a diverse range of students.
- Evidence of exemplary quality teaching to integrate a high quality differentiated curriculum in literacy and numeracy into effective and successful classroom practice for all students.
- Demonstrated capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate differentiated Individualised Education Plans that are engaging and culturally inclusive with a focus on student engagement and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated outstanding classroom management skills and proven capacity to implement positive behaviour strategies to enhance student engagement and participation.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills which promote collaboration with staff and positive partnerships with parents/carers, community, support agencies, staff and students.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
