Position Information 

Marsden High School's enrolment includes 850 students in our main school with 70% from non­ English speaking background; in addition it also includes an Intensive English Centre of 30 and a Support Unit with three classes. Our school has a strong commitment to the ethos of academic excellence, personal achievement and community service. Marsden is a high demand school where community expectations are matched with high quality teaching and learning experiences.  Student attendance and retention is high, matched by increasing enrolments. Over 70% of HSC graduates enter tertiary study. Academic performance is above state average supported by strong wellbeing and student leadership initiatives. Specific Selection Criteria 

1. Approval to teach Design and Technology (DAT), Industrial Technology- Metal (ITM), Industrial technology- Graphics (ITG), Industrial Technology - Timber (ITW).

2. Evidence of effective classroom practice that includes the ability to cater for students with a diverse range of learning needs through differentiated curriculum, classroom management and integration of technology. 

3 Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within the TAS faculty and across the school with a commitment to developing quality teaching and learning programs and resources that embed the school's strategic directions.

4.    Well-developed interpersonal, communicative and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.

 

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
