We offer our School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme in partnership with Teach First. The BPET approach is to train teachers as individuals, just like we teach our pupils: individualised learning is at the heart of what we do.

This postgraduate programme has been judged outstanding by Ofsted, is one academic-year long and involves an effective mix of live training in class, self-directed study and one-to-one support. The final qualification is awarded by Sheffield Hallam University.

Our training will enable you to develop your skills in the classroom, and it is ideal for people who are eager to learn on the job and make a difference in their community from day one. You will be interacting every day with children and work as a member of teaching staff in a school local to you.

You’ll receive plenty of practical experience as well as subject-specific training and a deep understanding of effective teaching methods. You'll be supported by an experienced mentor throughout your training.
