The UCL Institute of Education is a world-leading centre for research and teaching in social science and education, ranked number one for education worldwide in the 2021 QS World University Rankings for the eighth year running. The UCL Institute of Education Confucius Institute is the national centre for advice on and support for the teaching and learning of Chinese and about China in secondary and primary schools in England.

We are looking to appoint a Teacher Training & Professional Development Coordinator. You will be responsible for teaching, teacher training, teaching-related administration, assessment, and supervision of Chinese language PGCE student teachers. Overseeing strands of delivery of the teacher training plan, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Chinese teaching and learning programmes such as the Mandarin Excellence Programme are delivered successfully.

This post is available from January 2022.

With Qualified teacher status and educated to Master’s level, you will have experience of planning, developing, managing and being responsible for the successful delivery of education programmes including training for teachers. Due to the nature of the duties, a DBS check will be required.
