Position Information 

Seven Hills High School is a member of the Nirimba Collegiate. This year the school began transitioning from a Year 7-10 high school to a comprehensive high school, with the addition of Year 11. Year 12 classes will commence in 2022. From 2023, the school will be offering specialist VET courses in a purpose-built vocational education centre.

Seven Hills High School has an enrolment of 380 students, including 7% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and two support classes, with exemplary student wellbeing programs and a focus on quality teaching. As a member of the Nirimba Collegiate, that includes Quakers Hill High School, Riverstone High School and Wyndham College, Seven Hills High School offers cross campus senior curriculum and enhanced learning opportunities for students in all years. Strong links also exist with surrounding primary schools, and the school works in partnership with other high schools as a member of the Nirimba Learning Community.

The successful applicant will be appointed to the Nirimba Collegiate, and initially be based at Seven Hills High School.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach Visual Arts 7-10. Approval to teach Visual Design. Approval and/or willing to teach Photography and Digital Media.

Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills demonstrating a proven ability to work collaboratively within the CAPA faculty as an effective team member and contribute to faculty and whole school initiatives.

Demonstrated capacity to design and implement high quality teaching and learning programs and assessments which engage and support students with diverse learning needs.

Evidence of effective classroom practice that includes the ability to cater for students with a diverse range of learning needs through differentiated curriculum, teaching and behaviour management strategies, that foster a culture of high expectations.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
