The Priory Centre is in an exciting period in its development progress from  its last Ofsted inspection in October 2017. The Executive Head Teacher has a strong commitment to continued improvement and working towards a good provision for students within the Wakefield District. The appointment of excellent practitioners is a key element in the continued development of the Centre to achieve this aim.

Required for January 2020, The Management Committee and Executive Head Teacher are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and dynamic teacher.

The candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can evidence successful outcomes for students in Key Stage 2 and/or 3, through a personalised approach to curriculum planning, delivery and engagement. They must have considerable experience of working with vulnerable, challenging students and raising their aspirations and outcomes. The school operates a Primary style of curriculum delivery with teaching staff delivering a core of English and maths alongside broader curriculum topic and creative work.

The successful candidate will need a proven ability of working independently, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage behaviour successfully.

You will also enjoy team work and have experience of working collaboratively with a range of staff and other professionals. Candidates will also be expected to deliver enrichment activities as part of the curriculum.

Successful applicants could be required to work across any of the associated sites subject to operational needs.

The Executive Head Teacher is committed to Continued Professional Development for all staff and is actively seeking ambitious talented teachers.

It is essential that candidates have an awareness of child protection and safeguarding systems.
