LVS Hassocks is a multi-award winning specialist school for young people aged 11-19 with a diagnosis of autism.

The successful candidates will be qualified to degree level and have a teaching qualification enabling them to teach up to GCSE level and above. Experience of teaching and supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those who have a diagnosis of autism and associated disorders, is also necessary. A specialism in English and Maths/ICT would be desirable.

Class sizes are typically no larger than eight students and each class has a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The role demands the application of specialised teaching approaches, systematic planning and record keeping and the management and deployment of support staff as well as good ICT skills.

The Teacher will be a Tutor for a form group and support them with pastoral, parent contact and report writing duties including attending EHCP reviews.
