We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to teach a small class of SEN children with learning difficulties.

We will support your professional development so if you are interested but don’t feel you have enough SEN experience don’t be put off!

You will need to:

  • be passionate about improving outcomes for children with SEN
  • have high expectations and the patience to achieve these
  • be creative, resourceful and well organised
  • be firm with behaviour management and have a keen sense of humour
  • be experienced in planning and assessing to pinpoint the needs of individual learners
  • be experienced or very interested / able to work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
  • be a great team player

If successful you will teach a group of approximately ten pupils with a range of mainly speech, language and communication difficulties (including Down Syndrom, ASD and Global Developmental Delay) with the support of three experienced teaching assistants. You will carefully plan & differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of the individuals and assess their progress. You will liaise with your mainstream colleagues and other professionals to develop ideas and promote inclusion.
