Job overview

The Governors of the newly formed Federation of Shrubland Street Primary School and Kingsway Community Primary School seek excellent class teachers to join their friendly team of our popular and successful schools.

Shrubland Street Primary School is a very popular and thriving school. It is a wonderful place to teach in and an inspirational place to be a pupil in. We are very fortunate to have over 200 enthusiastic, energetic and wonderfully behaved children, who are always up for a challenge and delighted by all the positive changes we have made to the school. Kingsway Primary School is set in the heart of the South Leamington community 10 minutes’ walk away from Shrubland Street. Both schools are developing a split site single ethos of excellence for all. Contracts will be for employment under the federation of schools, the Executive Head Teacher and the Governors have the flexibility to deploy staff across the federated schools.

We are proud of our committed staff at all levels. They take great pride in their school and make a strong impact on outcomes for our pupils. The teachers, highly praised by OFSTED in 2014 for their teaching, are a professional and hardworking team who are excellently supported by our invaluable teaching assistants. Our Federation’s unique curriculum approach which involves teachers becoming ‘specialists’ within the school ensures they can promote and develop their subject passion with total support from the school, an approach recognised nationally as a creative and effective teaching model.

We are looking forward to welcoming new teachers to join our team in our journey to become ‘outstanding’ schools within this ambitious federation. Support and professional development for NQTs is highly praised and opportunities involve sharing and developing practice at outstanding partner schools both in Warwickshire and beyond.

Our school gets involved in everything. We enter all manner of competitions from drama with the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Gallery or Young Voices and national science events, to local and national competitions – whatever we commit to we work hard to excel at. Our dedicated staff contribute to the vast range of extra –curricular activities we offer children.

  • be an excellent classroom practitioners or an NQTs aspiring to this, who ensure that all children, whatever their ability, make great progress
  • be dedicated professionals with the ability to inspire children and their colleagues
