Teachers of Mathematics

We are seeking to recruit well-qualified and highly motivated Maths teachers to enhance our high performing curriculum area, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5. We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers. For a suitably experienced candidate, there is the possibility of a responsibility post.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our department and begin, or further develop, your leadership skills with a TLR or R&R responsibility. The specific area of responsibility will be decided by the skills and experience you have to offer but may include a Key Stage responsibility within the department or responsibility for Whole School Numeracy.

The Mathematics Department is constantly striving to raise attainment through curriculum development, focusing on teaching and learning strategies, sharing good practice and continued evaluation of all aspects of the departmental work. Our aim is for all students to realise their true potential in Mathematics; through great lessons and extensive extra-curricular provision.

Weatherhead High School is an extremely successful and popular school. We are oversubscribed on intake with an average number of 255 students in each year group. The school consistently achieves significantly above the national average in examination results and has positive scores for both Progress 8 and Attainment 8.
