Job overview

Are you an outstanding teacher who feels stifled by the mainstream system? Are you an exceptional, creative practitioner who really wants to make a difference every day to the lives of the most vulnerable children?

Do you want to be driven by a sense of moral purpose rather than data? Do you want high quality professional development and support? Do you want to teach small classes where getting to know the children really well is a priority and a pleasure? Do you want to work with highly supportive colleagues who share your values and ethos? Do you want to work in an organisation that supports career progression and has opportunities beyond your own school? Do you want to be involved in educational research and development? Do plans to move to new-build accommodation excite you?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then why not come and work for an organisation who truly believes that there is another way?

The Wellspring Academy Trust - in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council - is recruiting teachers to work in the Lincolnshire Teaching and Learning Centres. These are specialist and alternative settings where all of this can be achieved with commitment, resilience and a dedication to working differently.

Lincolnshire Teaching and Learning Centre is a county wide Pupil Referral Unit. We take students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school and also students on intervention places to support their re-engagement with education.

We are proud to be supported by Wellspring Academy Trust and work as part of Lincolnshire County Council

Lincolnshire Teaching and Learning Centre is a place where:

  • We value every student as an individual, showing everyone respect and tolerance
  • We see the best in every student, and understand that sometimes mistakes are made
  • We give you a fresh start every day. Grudges are not held, and relationships are rebuilt.
  • We want our students to be the very best that they can be – and will try to give them every opportunity to show success

Lincolnshire Teaching and Learning Centre staff will:

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for our students
  • Promote positive learning experiences and plan high quality lessons
  • Develop a broad and balanced curriculum which allows students to study a variety of subjects, in line with mainstream schools, with a core culture of developing behavioural, emotional and social skills
  • Value all of our students as individuals and celebrate their personal skills sets
  • Embed British Values and tolerance at all times, welcoming the integration of those from other cultures
  • Develop an understanding of environmental issues and promote environmentally friendly practice within the Centres

Together, we will achieve.
