Teaching and After School Care Assistant

September 2020-August 2021

Becoming a TA at GHS is a great opportunity to apply skills you have learnt during your own education and learn new ones.  It will give you the chance to work in one of the most successful prep schools in the country, alongside hugely talented teachers and support staff.  You will participate in training opportunities, witness outstanding classroom practice and be supported in helping to deliver a vibrant and caring environment for our pupils.

The Teaching Assistant team works closely with form and subject teachers in assisting to provide a caring and stimulating environment for the girls in the school.  The responsibilities will vary according to the needs of specific pupils or the form you are working with.  This is a part time position working Monday to Friday, 12.00-18.00 during the term time.

This role requires a flexible approach and a commitment to excellence; in return we can offer you:

  • a competitive salary
  • a friendly and supportive staff team
  • excellent facilities
  • regular professional development and well-being opportunities throughout the year
  • access to employee benefits and advice services.

For further information is contained in the application pack. To apply, either complete the TES application form or download and complete the GHS application form from our website: http://www.guildfordhigh.co.uk/currentvacancies

The Human Resources department may be contacted via e-mail: Human.Resources@guildfordhigh.co.uk

The closing date for applications is 31st May 2020.

The school reserves the right to interview and appoint at any stage during the recruitment process so early applications are encouraged.

GHS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all who work at the School to share this commitment.  Successful applicants will be subject to child protection screening appropriate to the post including an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and checks with previous employers.
